The work of The Fund’s member agencies focuses on eight areas.

Members of The Fund speak out for the “voiceless” in our communities. We work passionately to solve community problems and create fairness and opportunity for all Rhode Islanders.
We advocate for issues before they percolate up to the public consciousness. We fight for fundamental issues, not just “sexy” ones or political “hot buttons.”
Fund agencies work throughout Rhode Island to provide housing that people can actually afford to live in. Our programs breathe life into dying neighborhoods and help families realize—and hold on to—their dreams.
It’s not just about timber and wallboard. It’s also about common sense energy policies, so families can afford to heat those homes.
Fund agencies are leading efforts to make quality health care available to all. We treat the entire spectrum of health issues—from chronic and acute care to dental care to mental health.
Our health initiatives go beyond treatment to include guidance on nutrition and disease prevention, counseling and outreach, residential programs and public education.
The Fund’s agencies are an integral part of the communities they serve. From day care to eldercare, our communal gathering spaces and programs provide safe, engaging environments and improve the quality of life for the entire community.
We involve community members from the ground up, so they take pride in sustaining the improvements to their neighborhoods.
The Fund’s agencies work to educate parents and provide support for inner-city families. Our programs extend from classrooms to after school to summer enrichment, helping all children realize their full potential.
Our award-winning parenting programs serve as national models. Three of our newest agencies have programs that engage and empower disenfranchised, troubled and at-risk youth.
Volunteer your Time to serve at our diverse agencies.
