Youth Pride Inc. (YPI) is the only safe drop-in space in Rhode Island dedicated to meeting the social, emotional and educational needs of youth and young adults impacted by sexual orientation and gender identity/expression.

YPI’s goal is to provide the services and opportunities necessary for these youth and young adults to live full, healthy lives and to eliminate society’s bias and bigotry directed toward LGBTQQ individuals. We work to educate and create systems change and empower young people to be advocates for change in the communities in which they live.

Youth Pride's vision is to build a strong and vocal community of LGBTQQ youth in Rhode Island in order to allow them to be heard, accepted and nurtured. We see youth development, leadership and organizing as fundamental elements to successful youth work. We encourage young people to be leaders within the organization and community, and we develop programming to facilitate this process.
