NWBRV circle of kids facesNWBRV is committed to rebuilding neighborhoods and communities. Our efforts focus on developing quality affordable housing to serve as a catalyst to transform communities and help families build better lives.

Housing alone is not enough to build better neighborhoods and lives. We collaborate with partners to also provide safe, violence free streets, access to jobs and economic opportunity, quality affordable childcare and after school programs, and responsive and effective government, education, social and cultural institutions.

NWBRV Meadows developmentNWBRV has been restoring abandoned houses, building new homes, and revitalizing neighborhoods to improve the quality of life in Northern Rhode Island since 1987.

NWBRV started as a task force organized by Mayor Baldelli because of the lack of affordable housing in the City. The task force advocated for the development of Woonsocket Neighborhood Development Corporation (WNDC). Since the organizations inception, 37 homes and 234 apartments have been completed. Over 600 families and individuals have been directly served by NWBRV’s programs and projects.

In 2006, the Corporation partnered with NeighborWorks America and now serves communities throughout Northern Rhode Island.
