Groundwork Providence is a steward of our shared urban environment. Our education, employment, job training and stewardship programs all serve the common goal of creating and sustaining healthy, beautiful and green communities for all.

We work to engage local residents in projects that improve the places where they live, work and play. By giving people the resources and skills they need to make a difference in their own communities Groundwork is building a new and lasting force for change in low-income communities.

At Groundwork, we believe that the seemingly disparate goals of environmental sustainability and community economic development are one and the same. By building greener places we are helping to ensure that our most needy citizens will be able to participate in the emerging Green Economy.
